Alamara Djabi Stabbed in Denmark; Condition Serious

Alamara Djabi, a 19-year-old midfielder for the Danish football club Midtjylland, was attacked and seriously injured in a stabbing incident that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, April 19, in central Denmark. Djabi, who is an international player from Guinea-Bissau, joined Midtjylland from Benfica's academy in 2023.

He has made two senior appearances for the club as he continues to develop within European football. Following the attack, Midtjylland provided an update on April 21, confirming that Djabi is receiving treatment for severe injuries sustained during the incident.

Djabi spent the previous season on loan at CD Mafra, where he made seven appearances in Portugal's second division. He has returned to Midtjylland, which is currently competing in the Europa League qualifiers and sits second in the Danish Superliga, two points behind AGF.

Danish police have confirmed that an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing is ongoing, urging anyone with information to come forward.
