Mike Jackson Takes Over as Burnley Interim Coach

Burnley FC has confirmed the appointment of Mike Jackson as the interim head coach following the departure of Scott Parker by mutual consent on Thursday, April 30. Parker's exit comes after a challenging season where the team managed only four league wins and suffered a defeat that sealed their drop from the top flight against Manchester City.

The club expressed gratitude for Parker's contributions during his tenure at Turf Moor. Jackson, who previously served as an assistant coach, will oversee the final four league fixtures, starting with a trip to Leeds United.

Burnley FC has initiated the search for a permanent head coach ahead of the 2026/27 campaign in the English Football League Championship.
