Nigerian Military Commits to Affordable Housing for Personnel

The Nigerian military has reaffirmed its commitment to providing affordable housing for its personnel while enhancing operations and expanding real estate activities. Major General Isaiah Allison, who recently assumed the role of Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Defence Properties Limited (DPL) in Guzape, Abuja, succeeded Brigadier General Sebhil Adeyemo.

The vision of DPL aligns with the military's strategic philosophy under Chief of Defence Staff General Olufemi Oluyede, focusing on consolidating the Armed Forces' capacity through improved welfare and sound administration. Navy Captain JD John-Ogudire, General Manager of Strategy at DPL, stated that the new administration aims to give the company clear direction and prepare it for action, as demonstrated in DPL's inaugural retreat.

Major General Isaiah Allison's approach emphasizes staff development and revitalizing operations to generate resources for effective administration. The management team has begun inspecting DPL facilities and fostering cooperation within Defence Holdings Company Limited.
