Minister Inspects NEDC Projects in Maiduguri, Borno

Engr. Abubakar Momoh, the Minister of Regional Development, conducted an inspection of projects in Maiduguri, Borno State, executed by the North East Development Commission (NEDC). The inspection included the Jere Bowl Road network and electric vehicles such as buses, tricycles, and taxis, along with the charging infrastructure under construction.

The Minister emphasized that he was in the state to assess the electric vehicles purchased by the commission, a significant project approved by the Federal Executive Council, which is set for commissioning soon. He reported that the Jere Bowl Road network, spanning 22.5 km, and other roads totaling 32.5 km have been completed, revitalizing economic activities in the region affected by insurgency.

During the visit, he was accompanied by Dr. Mary Ada Ogbe, the Permanent Secretary, and NEDC Managing Director Mohammed Goni Alkali, among others. The Minister praised the NEDC management for their commendable efforts in these projects.
