NEDC Launches 2026 Excellence Forum in Maiduguri

The North-East Development Commission (NEDC) initiated the 2026 Excellence Forum on August 14, 2026, in Maiduguri, Borno State. This three-day strategic summit aims to strengthen the commission and improve the delivery of its core mandate to the northeast region.

It gathers staff from the NEDC's headquarters and its offices across the six northeastern states. NEDC Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mohammed Goni Alkali, stated that the summit will focus on integrating principles of quality, accountability, integrity, and improved service delivery into the daily operations of the commission.

He emphasized that the value of standards is determined by their impact on the commission's work and service to the people. The forum follows the NEDC's certification to five International Organization for Standardization management system standards.

Participants will engage in practical exercises and simulations to enhance collaboration and problem-solving skills, moving from theoretical standards to practical application.
