Ogun Police Rescue Pregnant Women in Baby Factory Raid

On August 25, the Ogun Police Command reported the discovery of an alleged illegal baby factory in Abaren village, Mowe. The operation, conducted by the Mowe Police Division on August 21, resulted in the rescue of two pregnant women, aged seven and eight months, and four children, comprising two males and two females.

Six suspects were arrested during the operation and are under investigation for their connections to the suspected human trafficking and illegal adoption activities. Following the initial rescue, police extended their investigation to a local hospital, where they found another victim who had recently delivered a baby boy.

This woman had given birth on August 24 and was still receiving medical care. However, the police were unable to locate the newborn, prompting the arrest of the attending nurse as part of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the baby's disappearance.

The Ogun Police Command stated that the investigation aims to clarify the situation of the rescued pregnant women and children.
