Tinubu Orders Rescue Operation for Niger State Abduction Victims

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services, and relevant security agencies to initiate a coordinated rescue operation for victims of a recent mass abduction in Niger State. In a statement released on Tuesday by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu expressed his outrage over the abduction and killing of innocent citizens by criminal elements.

He extended condolences to the families of those killed during the attack, assuring them that the government and security forces are committed to ensuring the safe return of all victims. The President condemned the attackers as "enemies of peace and humanity" and promised that they would not go unpunished.

He has instructed the Service Chiefs to provide regular updates on the rescue operation's progress. Tinubu emphasized the government's commitment to defending the people, protecting communities, and upholding human life, while also pledging support for recovery and security reinforcement in Niger State.
