Miyetti Allah Calls for Release of Leader Abdullahi Bodejo

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore Fulani Sociocultural Association, represented by its North-Central Chairman Idris Bebeji, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu and other authorities for the release of its national leader, Abdullahi Bello Bodejo. Bodejo was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) in Jalingo, Taraba State, on the day he declared his intention to contest for the Senate seat representing Taraba Central.

After spending nearly four months in detention, he was released from Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) custody but was rearrested by the DSS on August 28, 2026. Bebeji emphasized the need for a fair and constitutional review of Bodejo's continued detention, urging that if no legal basis exists for further detention, he should be released.

Bodejo is recognized as a supporter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and backed the Tinubu-Shettima ticket during the 2023 elections. The association commended the Tinubu administration for promoting pastoralist community development.
