Businessman Accuses PFIPC DG of N400m Scam

The controversy surrounding the alleged fraudulent activities of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) and its Director-General, Adeniyi Adeyemi, intensified as businessman Gbenga Collins testified before a House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee. Collins claimed that Adeyemi scammed him of N400 million by promising a lucrative government contract.

He was convinced of Adeyemi's legitimacy due to the official environment he encountered during his visits to Abuja, including official vehicles, security personnel, and prominent visitors. Collins, the Managing Director of Divine Dopacy Nigeria Limited, recounted that he met Adeyemi in December 2024 and was invited to Abuja in January or February 2025.

Upon arrival, he was picked up by an official vehicle and taken to Adeyemi's office at the Federal Secretariat, where he met other prominent individuals. Collins stated that Adeyemi introduced himself as the Director-General of both the PFIPC and the Presidential Economic Advisory Council, which further convinced him of the authenticity of the agency.

The committee has summoned the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps to explain the use of official Federal Government number plates by the alleged fake agency.
