ECOWAS Team Inspects Bauchi's Wunti Flyover Project

An ECOWAS team, representing the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID), visited Bauchi State to assess the Wunti Central Market flyover project, which is nearing completion. This multi-billion Naira infrastructure initiative is designed to ease traffic congestion and enhance commercial activities within the Bauchi metropolis.

The appraisal mission is part of EBID's standard due diligence process, aimed at evaluating the technical and financial viability of the project to facilitate further financing arrangements. Bauchi State Governor Senator Bala Mohammed reaffirmed his administration's commitment to transparency and prudent resource utilization, emphasizing the importance of improving urban mobility and strengthening commercial activities across the state.

The Wunti Central Market flyover project was flagged off by Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on May 24, 2024.
