Mutfwang Holds Security Council Meeting in Plateau State

On Wednesday, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State convened a meeting of the State Security Council at the New Government House in Little Rayfield, Jos, to review the state's security situation. The meeting aimed to strengthen measures for sustainable peace, protect lives and property, and create a secure environment for economic development.

Attendees included the Deputy Governor, heads of security and law enforcement agencies, and the Gbong Gwom Jos, Da. Jacob Gyang Buba.

Following the meeting, CP Ayodeji Faniyan stated that the discussions focused on emerging security threats, recent incidents, intelligence sharing, and strategies for safeguarding lives and economic activities. He emphasized that the meeting was part of Mutfwang’s ongoing assessment of security and his commitment to ensuring peace in the state.

Investigations into recent attacks are ongoing, with arrests made and collaboration with national authorities. CP Faniyan assured residents that security agencies are committed to enhancing safety in Plateau State.
