Austen-Peters to Receive Excellence Award in Lagos

The Nigerian American Chamber of Commerce will honor Bolanle Austen-Peters, a prominent Nigerian cultural entrepreneur and filmmaker, for her significant contributions to the growth of Africa's creative economy. She is the founder of Terra Kulture and will receive the Excellence in Cultural Innovation Award during the chamber's roundtable event on April 23, 2026, at the Legend Hotel, Lagos Airport.

The event will focus on policies regarding immigration and border management in Nigeria. Austen-Peters has been instrumental in promoting Nigerian stories on the global stage and has produced several internationally recognized films and theatrical productions.

Her initiatives include the Terra Academy of Art, which aims to train 10,000 young Nigerians in film and theater entrepreneurship. The event will feature key figures from the Nigerian government and private sector, including Magdalen Ajani, Kemi Nanna Nandap, and Ola Awakan, discussing broader implications for trade and tourism.
