NAF Dismantles ISWAP Logistics Base in Borno Airstrike

On April 11, 2026, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) executed a successful airstrike on an Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) logistics base located in Jilli, Gubio Local Government Area, Borno State. Lt.

Col. Sani Uba, the media information officer at the Joint Task Force North East, confirmed that the operation was conducted following sustained intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance missions.

The airstrike targeted a major corridor for terrorist movements, disrupting ISWAP's logistics and preventing planned attacks on troop locations. Post-strike assessments indicated a high accuracy rate in destroying identified terrorist assets.

Additionally, on April 12, troops arrested a suspected ISWAP logistics courier who confessed to participating in attacks against the 29 Brigade located in Benisheik. The operation underscores the effectiveness of intelligence-driven missions by the NAF, as stated by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodam, and aims to deny terrorists freedom of movement while protecting civilian populations.
