NAF Embeds Journalists in North-East Anti-Terror Operations

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has initiated a media familiarisation visit for defence correspondents embedded with troops in the North-East theatre of Operation Hadin Kai. This initiative, led by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, aims to provide journalists with firsthand insights into ongoing counter-terrorism operations and to bolster public confidence in the military's campaign against insurgency.

Journalists participated in day and night air and ground patrols, interacted with frontline personnel, and observed operational planning and execution. This effort aligns with directives from the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, to promote transparency and accountability.

Ejodame emphasized the importance of keeping Nigerians informed about military operations and the sacrifices made by personnel. He confirmed that this initiative is linked to the Federal Government's plan to embed journalists in military operations, allowing for a better understanding of the military's efforts and challenges.
