NAF Strengthens Ties with Pakistan Air Force for Air Power

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is actively pursuing stronger collaboration with the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) to enhance its air power capabilities. This commitment was reaffirmed during a courtesy visit by Zaeem Afzal, the Deputy Chief of Air Staff of the PAF, to the NAF headquarters in Abuja on April 22.

During this engagement, Afzal described the discussions as beneficial for ongoing military cooperation and emphasized the enduring partnership between the two air forces. He noted that the collaboration has already delivered tangible gains in training and operational effectiveness, which are crucial for enhancing Nigeria's air power.

Afzal called for the expansion of cooperation between the air forces to sustain and broaden their areas of collaboration, ensuring that both forces remain agile and ready to respond to missions. He praised the professionalism and hospitality of the NAF, highlighting the mutual benefits derived from this partnership.

The visit also provided an opportunity to build on shared history and further strengthen cooperation, attended by senior NAF officials including Kamran Mushtaq, Pakistan's Defence Adviser to Nigeria.
