NAFDAC Blacklists Onifam Laboratories for Violating Regulations

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has announced the immediate blacklisting of Onifam Laboratories Ltd and its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, along with all affiliated individuals and entities.

This decision follows an extensive investigation that uncovered multiple regulatory violations, including misrepresentation and misuse of NAFDAC approval certificates, improper registration, and circumvention of established regulatory processes. These actions pose significant risks to public health and violate the NAFDAC Act and related regulations.

The blacklist prohibits Onifam Laboratories Ltd and associated persons from participating directly or indirectly in the pharmaceutical business regulated by NAFDAC, including obtaining regulatory approvals and licenses. NAFDAC emphasized its commitment to maintaining high regulatory compliance standards and warned that the blacklist will remain in effect until further notice, reserving the right to impose additional sanctions as necessary to protect public health and preserve the integrity of Nigeria's medicinal regulatory system.
