NAHCON Sets September 26 Deadline for 2027 Hajj Registration

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has alerted intending pilgrims that they have only seven days left to register and upload their data for the 2027 Hajj, with a deadline set for September 26, 2026. This announcement was made on Saturday, September 19, 2026, via NAHCON's official X account.

The commission emphasized that any pilgrim who fails to upload their data by the deadline risks losing their allocated slot, which is crucial given that Saudi Arabia has maintained Nigeria's Hajj quota at 50,000 pilgrims for the upcoming year. Additionally, NAHCON has stated that full payment for these slots must be completed by December 2, 2026, and all payments should be made through officially approved channels, including state pilgrims' welfare agencies and licensed tour operators.

Pilgrims are also encouraged to finalize their documentation early to avoid complications. This urgency follows Saudi Arabia's recent denial of Nigeria's request for an increased Hajj allocation.
