Nigerian Army Resource Centre Launches Leadership Course

The Nigerian Army Resource Centre formally inaugurated a Leadership Skills Development Course on 8 September 2026, which will run from 6 to 18 September 2026, at Hall B, TY Buratai Block in Abuja. Major General James Myam (rtd.), the Director-General of the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, stated that the course aims to enhance participants' skills in critical thinking, emotional intelligence, mentorship, team building, coaching, communication, decision-making, and inter-agency collaboration.

Participants are expected to apply the knowledge gained to their respective formations and units upon completion. Major General Myam urged participants to remain disciplined, engage actively with facilitators, and utilize the training opportunity effectively.

He also acknowledged the contributions of the course coordinator, facilitators, and resource persons in developing the program and recognized the guidance and support of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, who serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Nigerian Army Resource Centre. The course will conclude with a graduation ceremony on 18 September 2026.
