N’Assembly Committee Inspects NDDC Projects in Cross River

A joint delegation from the National Assembly's committee on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) commenced an inspection tour of NDDC projects in Cross River State, focusing on the reconstruction of the Odukpani Junction, Okom Ita, and Uyanga Ehom road. The inspection team was led by Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, the chairman of the Senate committee on NDDC, alongside Hon.

Erhiatak Ibori Suenu from the House of Representatives, and included Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the managing director of NDDC, and Victor Antai, the executive director of projects.

The visit, conducted on Wednesday in Calabar, aimed to ensure that NDDC projects deliver tangible benefits to the people, in line with the constitutional mandate of the National Assembly. Senator Ekpenyong highlighted the importance of the Akamkpa-Uyanga-Ehom corridor for national economic growth and agricultural expansion.

The committee emphasized its commitment to strengthening oversight and ensuring transparency and efficiency in project delivery across the Niger Delta region.
