NATE Advocates Increased Funding for Engineering Technology Profession in Nigeria

The Nigerian Association of Technologists in Engineering (NATE) urges the government to boost funding for the engineering technology profession, emphasizing the need to strengthen technical capacity for national development. NATE President, Domin Oduatan, highlighted the importance of enhancing professional standards, enforcing compliance, and ensuring adequate remuneration to drive technological growth.

Oduatan also raised concerns about career progression issues faced by technologists and called for urgent resolutions from both federal and state governments. The association's achievements in membership growth, collaboration with engineering bodies, and recognition by regulatory bodies like COREN were also noted during the 2025 conference in Lagos.
