National Assembly Commission Appoints Clerks for Senate and House of Representatives

The National Assembly Service Commission has appointed Emmanuel Odo as the Clerk of the Senate and Ibrahim Sidi as the Clerk of the House of Representatives. This decision was reached during the commission's meeting on January 20, 2026.

Odo's appointment was confirmed following his elevation to the position of Acting Clerk of the Senate in September 2025. Sidi's appointment as the Acting Clerk of the House of Representatives will take effect from February 9, 2026, replacing Yahaya Danzariya, who is set to retire on February 8, 2026.
