NCC and NIPR Strengthen Collaboration for Telecom Sector

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), under the leadership of Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) Dr. Aminu Maida, reiterated its commitment to ongoing collaboration with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

This affirmation occurred during a meeting with a delegation from NIPR, led by its President, Dr. Ik Neliaku, in Maitama, Abuja.

Dr. Maida emphasized the importance of partnerships with relevant professional bodies, including NIPR, to promote public awareness and engage stakeholders in issues related to the telecommunications sector.

He commended NIPR for winning the bid to host the 2026 World Public Relations Forum in Nigeria, noting the significance of this achievement in projecting Nigeria's image on the international stage. Dr.

Maida also urged NIPR to leverage upcoming events, such as the African Telecom Union (ATU) conference scheduled for July 2026, to enhance Nigeria's international reputation. He highlighted the NCC's initiatives aimed at improving accountability and stability in the telecommunications sector, which have begun to yield visible results in attracting investor confidence.
