Senator Dafinone Launches Skills Training for Youths

Senator Dafinone, representing Delta Central, partnered with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) to unveil a three-week capacity-building program focused on rig scaffolding for youths in the Delta Central senatorial district. The training, held at the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) conference hall in Effurun, aims to equip participants with practical technical skills necessary for employment in the oil and gas construction sector.

The program emphasizes safety and aims to foster self-reliance among the youth. During the flag-off ceremony, stakeholders, including Felix Omatsola Ogb from NCDMB and Mr. Teddi Bai, commended the initiative, highlighting its potential to bridge the skills gap in the industry.

Chief Patrick Akamuvba noted the high demand for scaffold rig skills in the local commercial construction sector and urged participants to prioritize knowledge acquisition and certification for long-term success.
