NCDMB Launches 10th Annual Essay Competition for Youth

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) announced the opening of applications for its 10th Annual National Undergraduate Essay Competition on August 15. This competition invites undergraduate students in 100 and 200 levels from Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education to submit essays on the topic “Promoting Manufacturing for Sustainable Local Content Development.” Dr.

Obinna Ezeobi, the General Manager of Corporate Communications at NCDMB, emphasized the importance of the competition in nurturing critical thinking, research, and innovation among young Nigerians. He encouraged students to develop practical ideas that can bolster Nigeria's industrialization and sustainable development.

The competition will culminate in an award ceremony on October 22 at the NCDMB headquarters in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, where outstanding participants will be recognized for their contributions. The NCDMB Annual National Undergraduate Essay Competition has established itself as a significant academic initiative aimed at engaging young scholars with national development issues.
