NDC Candidates Praise Dickson After INEC Candidate List Release

Candidates of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) expressed their appreciation for the party’s National Leader, Senator Seriake Dickson, after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) published the party’s candidate list for the 2027 general elections. The candidates noted that Dickson's intervention was crucial in resolving disputes that arose during the primaries, which had caused weeks of uncertainty.

Senator Nkechi Nwaogu, the NDC candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District, commended Dickson for his leadership and reconciliation efforts. She encouraged unsuccessful aspirants to remain committed to the party.

Candidates dismissed allegations of ticket sales, asserting the primaries were transparent. An aspirant based in Canada highlighted Dickson's dedication to reconciling aggrieved stakeholders post-primaries, emphasizing that disagreements were primarily state-level issues.

Another aspirant from Edo State also refuted claims of financial discussions regarding party tickets, urging unity behind the NDC’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, for the upcoming elections.
