NDC Clarifies Stance on Automatic Tickets for Members

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has stated that it has not yet discussed the provision of automatic tickets for its members who currently hold elected office. This statement was made during an interview at the party's secretariat.

The NDC emphasized that the appropriate time for such discussions will arise as the party focuses on restructuring itself to attract a wider political platform across Nigeria. The party's priorities include strengthening its structures to ensure acceptance across the northern and southern regions of the country.

The NDC's stance comes in the wake of significant gains made by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in recent elections, particularly with the involvement of notable figures such as former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso.
