NDDC Boss Samuel Ogbuku Becomes Paramount Ruler in Bayelsa

Samuel Ogbuku, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has ascended to the traditional throne as the new paramount ruler of Ayakoro in Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State. His emergence as the paramount ruler, carrying the title Daufa VI, was announced in a statement issued from Port Harcourt by Seledi Thompson Wakama, the NDDC Director of Corporate Affairs.

This transition follows the passing of the late monarch six months prior and adheres to the provisions of the Ayakoro community constitution, which stipulates that the former deputy paramount ruler automatically succeeds the throne. Chief Micha Itekesi has been appointed as the deputy paramount ruler.

Ogbuku expressed that his elevation is a profound honor that transcends his public office role, reflecting the community's appreciation for his years of service and commitment to development. He pledged to serve with humility and integrity, seeking divine guidance throughout his reign.
