Niger Delta Declared Most Peaceful Under Tinubu's Rule

Denni Brutu Otuaro, the administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, declared that the Niger Delta has become the most peaceful region in Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu's administration. He made this statement during the opening of the sixth batch of a two-day leadership and alternative dispute resolution training workshop held at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre in Abuja.

Otuaro attributed the region's peace to the support from Tinubu's administration and the efforts of the Office of National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu. He noted that the amnesty programme continues to yield positive outcomes, with ongoing investments in education and human capital development, including 8,500 scholarships for students across Nigeria.

Otuaro expressed confidence in the region's support for Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027 and emphasized the importance of dialogue and stakeholder engagement in sustaining peace and preventing renewed unrest in the Niger Delta.
