Ned Nwoko Addresses Consultancy Fees Allegations

Senator Ned Nwoko issued a statement on Friday in Abuja regarding outstanding consultancy fees owed to his company, following allegations from Sahara Reporters about a refund related to the Paris Club. Nwoko's media team clarified that the claims are false and misleading, asserting that four separate investigations conducted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) concluded that the contractual work was duly executed and that the outstanding balance remains as per the established agreement.

The statement emphasized that there has been no payment of 350 million Naira to Nwoko's company and reiterated his commitment to due process and transparency under the rule of law. Nwoko also noted that the allegations are part of a misinformation campaign driven by individuals such as Georg Uboh and Omoyele Sowore for political purposes, and he intends to take legal action against those involved in defamation.
