Dele Momodu: Atiku and Obi Don't Own ADC

Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), clarified during a television interview that neither Atiku Abubakar nor Peter Obi has ownership of the ADC. He stressed the importance of a strategic approach to unite opposition parties in order to effectively challenge President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Momodu highlighted that electoral success requires more than just public enthusiasm and political rhetoric, as he described Tinubu as a formidable political opponent. He pointed out that the ADC must focus on building a solid political structure and securing adequate resources to win elections, while also identifying key factors such as ethnic, religious, and financial strengths that influence voter outcomes.

Momodu warned that time is running out for the opposition to organize effectively ahead of the 2027 polls and addressed internal leadership issues within the ADC. He dismissed claims of an unwritten agreement regarding political power rotation between the north and south, advising the ADC to concentrate on political strategies particularly in northern Nigeria.
