Nepal Floods Claim Over 800 Lives Amid Rescue Efforts

The flash floods in Nepal have resulted in over 800 fatalities across Nepal and the neighboring region of Tibet, with rescue operations actively underway. Emergency crews are tirelessly working to locate missing individuals, clear heavy mud, and restore access to isolated communities.

Residents in low-lying river basins have received early warnings via mobile phones to evacuate to higher ground as water levels rise again. The floods have devastated thousands of families, leaving them without homes, clean water, or electricity.

In districts such as Dhading and Nuwakot, entire houses have been swept away. Rescuers, including military personnel, are utilizing heavy machinery and helicopters to clear blocked highways and deliver essential supplies.
