Chelsea's Xabi Alonso Targets Victor Osimhen for Transfer

Xabi Alonso has been appointed as the new manager of Chelsea, effective July 1. Despite not officially taking charge yet, he has prioritized Victor Osimhen as his first transfer target.

Alonso previously won the German Bundesliga Cup with Bayer Leverkusen three seasons ago. Chelsea's poor performance this season, as noted by Graeme Bailey, may result in the club missing European football next season.

Alonso is reportedly willing to make some compromises regarding transfer strategies. Osimhen, who is currently with Galatasaray, had a remarkable season, scoring 59 goals and providing 16 assists in 74 appearances.

He is considered one of the most sought-after strikers in European football. Other major Spanish clubs, including Real Madrid and Barcelona, are also interested in signing Osimhen, making Chelsea's pursuit competitive.
