ICPC Investigates Fictitious Agency Linked to Nwabueze

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) is investigating a fictitious agency allegedly operated by George Buchi Nwabueze, who has been ordered to be arrested by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The investigation revealed that the agency, which claimed to be a government-backed initiative promoting Nigerian-made products, had been allocated space within the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) without proper authorization.

Nwabueze, who has used multiple variations of his name, was identified as the Executive Director and National Coordinator of the Made-in-Nigeria Project Office in Abuja. The ICPC's chairman, Musa Aliyu, stated that three permanent secretaries were suspended following the discovery.

The agency organized events, including the commissioning of the NADC Automotive Training Centre in Zamfara State, which featured Governor Dauda Lawal and Senator John Onoh. The agency's claims of operating under the OSGF supervision were found to be unfounded, and photographs linking Nwabueze to prominent officials were verified as genuine.
