Stakeholders Urge Tinubu to Intervene in Niger APC Crisis

Concerned stakeholders in Niger State are calling for intervention from President Bola Tinubu and the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) due to increasing political unrest within the party's state chapter. Reports indicate that influential figures, including former commissioners and lawmakers, are planning a mass defection, driven by dissatisfaction with the party's internal affairs and perceived marginalization.

The aggrieved group includes notable politicians such as former governor Moham Umaru Bago and senator Abubakar Sani Bello. Political analysts warn that this discontent could lead to significant realignment in Niger State's political landscape, particularly with the upcoming 2027 elections in focus.

Alhaji Ibrahim Idri, a former senior aide to a past governor, emphasized the urgency for APC leadership to address these issues to prevent further erosion of party unity.
