Nigeria Police Launch National Youth Leadership Forum

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is set to host a National Youth Leadership and Security Forum from August 20 to 22, with activities planned across Zonal and State Commands nationwide. The initiative aims to empower young Nigerians to contribute positively to national development and foster safer communities.

According to CSP Ani Iniedu, the Force Public Relations Officer, the forum will include youth leadership dialogues, Police-Youth engagement sessions, panel discussions, and showcases of innovation and entrepreneurship. Additional activities will feature a peace and security walkathon, novelty sporting events, and a nationwide tree-planting exercise.

On August 22, the NPF will launch "Esteemed Youths: A National Youth Reorientation Resource," aimed at supporting youth empowerment. Two campaigns will also be unveiled: one to discourage political violence and electoral thuggery, and another focused on responsible digital citizenship, addressing misinformation and cyberbullying.
