Nigeria's U-18 Volleyball Team Reaches CAVB Final

Nigeria’s boys’ volleyball team has advanced to the final of the 2026 CAVB U-18 African Nations Volleyball Championship held in Alexandria, Egypt. They achieved this by defeating Cameroon with a commanding score of 3-0 in the semi-finals, showcasing their dominance with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, and 25-19.

This victory marks Nigeria's continued unbeaten streak in the tournament, having only dropped one set throughout their matches. Their journey began in Group A, where they finished first with three consecutive wins, including a 3-0 victory over Morocco, a 3-1 win against host nation Egypt, and a 3-0 triumph over Burundi.

In the knockout stage, Nigeria defeated Libya 3-0 in the quarter-finals before their semi-final success against Cameroon. The team’s performance has highlighted Nigeria's growing strength in youth volleyball, and they are now one win away from being crowned African U-18 champions.
