Nigerian Firm Launches AI App for Easy Flight Booking

Safety Travels Ltd, a Nigerian travel agency, has introduced an innovative application that utilizes Artificial Intelligence to facilitate flight bookings globally. The app was unveiled at a media event in Abuja, where General Manager Joseph Agofure explained its capabilities.

Users can manage their bookings through the company's website, safetytravels.org, using an AI assistant trained to understand several Nigerian languages, including Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, and Pidgin. The AI can interpret both voice and written prompts, converting them into flight terms for users.

Agofure noted that the app helps users find affordable flights by displaying available options in order of fare, from the least to the highest. The application is designed to be user-friendly, featuring a microphone for voice activation, allowing even those with minimal technical skills, such as market women, to make flight requests easily.

This innovation aims to enhance the travel experience for Nigerians and improve accessibility to flight booking services.
