Tinubu: Youths Will Vote Me Out If Economy Fails

During the Africa CEO Forum, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed that if he does not address Nigeria's economic challenges, the country's youth would vote him out of office. He acknowledged the growing impatience among Nigerian youths, stating they are not willing to accept excuses from politicians.

Tinubu emphasized the importance of creating a favorable investment climate and highlighted reforms he implemented during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State, particularly in tax administration. He noted that Lagos is the fifth-largest economy in Africa and expressed pride in the legacy he left behind.

Tinubu mentioned that Nigeria attracted nearly $20 billion in foreign direct investment in the past year, stressing the need for transparency in financial dealings to encourage further investment. He also discussed the importance of reducing bureaucratic obstacles to attract foreign direct investment to Nigeria.
