Anglican Bishop Urges FG to Acknowledge Nigerians' Hardship

Bishop Josiah Idowu-Fearon, a former Secretary-General of the Anglican Communion Worldwide and founder of the Kaduna Centre for the Study of Christian-Muslim Relations, urged the Federal Government to acknowledge the economic hardships Nigerians are facing. Speaking in Kaduna, he emphasized that millions are struggling to afford basic necessities, including food, due to high prices exacerbated by recent economic reforms under President Bola Tinubu's administration.

Idowu-Fearon pointed out that many Nigerians can only afford one meal a day and are unable to attend church services due to transportation costs. He questioned the government's claims of increased revenue, asking where the funds are going, and highlighted the severe inflation affecting household items.

He also mentioned the lack of electricity supply at his residence, stating he had been without power since Friday. His remarks reflect a growing concern over the impact of economic policies on the daily lives of citizens.
