Nigerians Shine at East Africa Swing Golf Tournament

At the East Africa Swing golf tournament, Nigerian golfers Kamalu Bako and Sundai Olapad achieved commendable finishes. Bako emerged as the highest-placed Nigerian, securing 11th place with a total score of 210, which included rounds of 66, 73, and 71.

His performance earned him 34.65 order merit points and a prize of KES 43,000. Olapad displayed resilience, finishing joint 21st with a score of 217 after recovering from a challenging opening round of 76 to score 69 and 72 in subsequent rounds, earning 23.40 order merit points and a prize of KES 29,014.

The tournament was won by Kenyan golfer Njorog Kibugu, who finished with a superb total of 196, five strokes ahead of Rwanda's Celestin Nsanzuwera, who placed second with 201. Taimur Malik from Kenya completed the podium in third place with a score of 202.

The event attracted a strong field of 80 golfers from across East Africa.
