Nigeria's Ambassador to Israel Presents Letters of Credence

On Monday, August 3, 2026, Her Excellency, Ambassador Nkechi Linda Ufochukwu, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the State of Israel, presented her Letters of Credence to His Excellency Isaac Herzog, the President of Israel, during an official ceremony in Jerusalem. This presentation signifies the commencement of Ambassador Ufochukwu’s diplomatic assignment and underscores the Nigerian government's commitment to strengthening the longstanding relations with Israel.

Following the ceremony, Ambassador Ufochukwu expressed her determination to deepen bilateral cooperation in trade and investment, agriculture, technology, security, innovation, and cultural exchanges. She emphasized her mission's focus on fostering stronger people-to-people ties for mutual benefit.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed confidence that her appointment would further consolidate the strategic partnership between Nigeria and Israel, creating new opportunities for enhanced bilateral cooperation and sustainable development.
