Eniola Bolaji Wins Gold at 2026 Peru Para Badminton

Eniola Bolaji emerged as the champion in the Women’s SL3 category at the 2026 Peru Para Badminton International, securing victory against Kauana Beckenkamp of Brazil with a score of 2-0 (21-12, 21-12) in the final held on Sunday, August 9, 2026. Bolaji, a Paralympic Games bronze medallist and currently ranked world number 2, began her tournament by defeating Maria Da Silva Abinaecia of Brazil 2-0 (21-7, 21-6) in the first round, followed by a dominant win over Gabriela Montero of Croatia 2-0 (21-2, 21-1) in the second round.

She then triumphed over Maria Rojas Peres of Mexico 2-0 (21-6, 21-9) in the semifinals before clinching the title against Beckenkamp. Francis Orbih, President of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria, praised Bolaji for her resilience and noted that this performance is part of her preparations for the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.
