Olubadan of Ibadan Criticizes Nigeria's Weak Rule of Law and Lack of Democratic Dividends

Olubadan of Ibadan, speaking at a dialogue in Abuja, criticized Nigeria's weak rule of law and failure to deliver basic democratic dividends, especially in education and security, despite 26 years of uninterrupted civil rule. He highlighted concerns about the lack of access to quality education for Nigerian children, inconsistent interpretation and application of laws, and the erosion of public confidence in the legal system.

The monarch also expressed worries about security challenges and the urgent need for reform in Nigeria's security architecture.
