NIMC Launches Free NIN Slip Download via NINAuth App

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced a new process for Nigerians to download their National Identification Number (NIN) slips for free using the NINAuth mobile application. This initiative allows NIN holders to obtain their slips without visiting enrolment centres or paying agents.

Users must download the NINAuth app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, open the app, select “NIN Slip,” and complete a facial authentication process to verify their identity. Once verified, users can download the official NIMC-issued NIN slip directly to their mobile phones.

NIMC described this process as convenient and secure, emphasizing that it is free and easily accessible. The NINAuth platform was launched in October 2025, enabling Nigerians to manage access to their personal data across various sectors.

In June 2026, NIMC confirmed that NIN holders could download their official slips at no cost, which are valid for use at banks and government offices.
