NIPR Kaduna to Launch Bashir Chedi Memorial Lecture

The Kaduna state chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is organizing the inaugural Bashir Adamu Chedi Annual Memorial Lecture on August 29, 2026, in Kaduna. This lecture honors the late Mallam Bashir Adamu Chedi, a former Chairman and Council Member of NIPR Kaduna State Chapter, and aims to enhance mentorship and intergenerational collaboration within the public relations field.

The theme for the event is “Bridging Generations: Strengthening Public Relations Through Mentorship.” Expected attendees include public relations practitioners, academics, government officials, and students. The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, FNIPR, will serve as the Special Guest of Honour, while Dr Ike Neliaku, FNIPR, will be the Chief Host.

Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, FNIPR, the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, will chair the event, and Dr Nkechi Ali-Balogun, FNIPR, will deliver the memorial lecture. Haroun Malami, MNIPR, Chairman of NIPR Kaduna State Chapter, emphasized the importance of preserving Chedi's legacy and the role of mentorship in the evolving public relations landscape.
