NLO Limits Playoff Signings to Five Non-League Players

The Nigeria Nationwide League (NLO) has implemented a new regulation limiting clubs to a maximum of five non-league player signings for the upcoming playoffs. This decision was communicated through a state circular issued by Temitayo Egbaieloy, emphasizing the need to maintain a fair competitive environment and safeguard the league's developmental structure.

The playoffs are scheduled to take place from Thursday, July 2, to Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Non-league players are defined as individuals not currently registered on an official league roster.

The NLO has also warned that clubs fielding unregistered players or failing to register properly will face immediate disqualification from the playoffs.
