Uchechi Kanu Denies Divorce Reports Amid Nnamdi's Imprisonment

Uchechi Kanu, the wife of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), reacted to reports suggesting she has filed for divorce from her husband, who is currently serving a life imprisonment sentence at Sokoto Custodial Centre. Uchechi expressed disbelief over the claims, stating she has just learned about the alleged divorce filing and maintains a good conscience.

Reports indicated that the divorce was purportedly due to allegations of infidelity and financial neglect on Kanu's part, which had reportedly strained their marriage since they wed in 2009. The claims also mentioned Kanu's alleged promiscuous lifestyle and multiple extramarital affairs, including a relationship with Chioma Amarylli Ahaghotu, whom he reportedly met in 2014.

Uchechi's statement emphasized her continued support for the Biafran cause, despite the challenges posed by Kanu's imprisonment.
