NNPP Accuses Kano Government of Political Witch-Hunt

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), represented by Engr. Ibrahim Karay, has publicly accused the Kano State government of engaging in political witch-hunt against its members.

The party claims that the government has taken undemocratic actions, including retracting Hajj seats that were previously allocated to its members, which includes former commissioners and advisors. Karay emphasized that these actions are detrimental to the rights of individuals and citizens in Kano State, who are entitled to the privileges of their party affiliation.

The NNPP further accused the government of harassing and intimidating former political office holders by demanding the return of official vehicles allocated during their tenure. The party described these vehicles as part of the benefits of service and urged the state government to cease actions that undermine democratic principles and the decorum of political conduct.

The NNPP called for mutual respect and adherence to constitutional rights and freedoms of association.
