PDP Denies Leadership Crisis After Supreme Court Ruling

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed claims of a leadership crisis within its ranks, asserting that the party is fully operational. This statement follows a recent Supreme Court judgment that quashed a national convention held on November 15-16, 2025, and upheld the suspension of certain party officials.

PDP's National Publicity Secretary, Mohammed, emphasized that the party's leadership structure remains intact, with no vacuum in administration. The party's National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed, and National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, are recognized as legitimate leaders.

The PDP criticized individuals, including Adolphu Wabara and members of the Tanimu Turaki group, for allegedly attempting to destabilize the party and misrepresenting the court's ruling. The party urged the public and media to disregard these claims, labeling them as unfounded propaganda.

PDP also called for responsible reporting from media organizations regarding the party's affairs.
