NPC Press Corps Mourns Chairman Dr. Aminu Yusuf

The National Population Commission (NPC) Press Corps expressed condolences over the death of its Chairman, Dr. Aminu Yusuf, during a visit to the NPC headquarters in Abuja on Thursday. Led by Chairman Joshua Adams, the delegation presented a condolence letter and signed the Commission’s condolence register.

Adams described Yusuf as a media-friendly leader who valued the role of journalists in communicating the Commission's activities. He noted that the Press Corps had met with Yusuf three times prior to his death, with their last interaction occurring during the World Population Day commemoration.

Mrs. Mary Ishaya Afan, the Federal Commissioner representing Plateau State and acting Head of the Chairman’s office, acknowledged Yusuf's commitment to media engagement as part of his seven-point agenda. She assured that the Commission would continue his initiatives.

Dr. Eyitayo Oyetunji, the Federal Commissioner representing Oyo State, and Dr. Abuh Mohammed, the Director-General of the NPC, also expressed their commitment to sustaining Yusuf's vision for the Commission.
